Walnut and Sage Pesto Pasta

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Unbound Salt and Pepper Walnuts
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne)

Instructions:
- In a food processor, combine walnuts, basil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Pulse until finely chopped.
- With the processor running, slowly pour in olive oil until the mixture forms a smooth paste. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Toss cooked pasta with the walnut and sage pesto, adding reserved pasta water as needed to thin out the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped walnuts if desired.
